Dithiazine is a key breakdown component of triazine- and MBO-based hydrogen sulfide scavenger solutions. Conventional testing involves expensive, complicated laboratory methods that can take weeks to complete. When couple with an extraction, this dithiazine analysis method can be used with natural gas liquids and slop water samples. This method requires an extraction step into aqueous solution, followed by analysis via our standard amine part-per-million analysis methods. The result is a few-minute test with portable instrumentation that provides ppm-level amine or dithiazine content.
